Clinical Nurse – Sexual Health - M Clinic

M Clinic is Perth’s only sexual health clinic specifically for gay, bi, trans, gender diverse and non-binary people, and for anyone who identifies as a man who has sex with other men. We aim to offer a service that is safe and inclusive, and for our clients to take pride in their sexual health without fear of judgement or discrimination.

The opportunity

We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Sexual Health Nurse to join our team and play a vital role in serving priority populations. As a qualified Registered Nurse, you will provide HIV, STI, and BBV testing, treatments, education, and clinical follow-up to clients. Working within a multi-disciplinary team alongside Registered Nurses and Physicians, you’ll deliver expert sexual health services while providing non-judgmental, welcoming, and culturally sensitive care to clients from various backgrounds.

This is a maximum term contract up to 30 June 2025 – Part time (0.6 FTE)

About you

  • A qualified Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration (Div 1)
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Sexual Health or have at least two years of clinical experience in the field of sexual health.
  • Ability to work independently and also collaboratively in a team.
  • Able to manage seeing clients for consults, supporting the HIV Helpline, support the Physicians in the clinic as needed.
  • Support the ongoing review of practices in the clinic – through ongoing quality improvement activities.
  • Experience working with First Nations people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and people who are of diverse sexuality and gender is essential.

Your past involvement in not-for-profit community services sectors will be viewed favourably, ideally with experience in the delivery of sexual health and blood-borne virus services.
